This morning we took part in a few traditions that many families share at this time of year. Our first tradition was Breakfast with Santa. Last year we took Liam to meet Santa for the first time however he slept through the whole thing, only being 3 weeks old. This year he was awake however slightly confused. This year Liam asked for .... a little brother!
Following Breakfast with Santa we went on a hunt for the perfect Christmas Tree. Thanks to Deloy's secret Christmas Tree spot we found one that was "worthy" enough to be in our house. Unfortunately our tree was much prettier in its natural environment. Once we got it home we realized that the tree was too big for our living room, after cutting the bottom foot off of it some of the "fullness" had disappeared, oh well!
Finally this afternoon we spent sometime turning our living room into "Santa's Workshop". The tree is safely adhered to the wall that way if Liam decides to climb it he will won't pull it over in the process. Lights and ornaments are safely placed on the tree roughly 3.5 feet and above. Stocking are hung above the fireplace just in case Santa wants to drop something inside. And finally a few Christmas decorations are out, including the snowman family handmade by my Grandma Pauline.
