Trip Back East

Last week Liam and I had an adventure that took us to Pennsylvania to visit his great-grandmother for the first time.  It was a short trip but it was definitely worth the long days and running through the airport trying to catch a connecting flight with a baby in tow.

Grandma Pauline made her famous Perogies from scratch with us, Mrs. T's don't compare in the slightest! I may have learned some of the art to making them, we'll see when I try on my own. However the real highlight of the trip was to have Liam and Lizzy meet their Great-Grandmother.  After all this is where Liam got his middle name (Paul).

Mother's Day

Just one day to celebrate mothers...it doesn't seem quite right.  After only six months of officially being a mother have come to realize (I suppose I always new) how much "work" it actually is.  This makes me greatful for my own mother who raised four children and taught me most of what I know about being a mother.

While there are many things to complain about on the topic of mothering (such as stinky diapers), why would I when I woke up on Mother's Day to the most precious, handsome, and happy baby boy that I know.

Furthermore, Liam and I had a great day with my family, we enjoyed a wonderful lunch and had another Mother's Day surprise. Auntie Tatums!!!

Sun & Family

Liam and I had a great trip to Arizona, including the plane ride, with my sisters, niece and mom.  Once we finally got there, after a missed plane, we were greeted by the sun and warm weather.  We especially enjoyed a trip to the zoo, playing in the pool, eating good food that I didn't make, a bit of shopping and eating frozen yogurt.

Liam was pretty exhausted after walking, rather being pushed around the zoo!
So was Lizzy but she didn't want to show her face.
